Mindfulness

What exactly is mindfulness coaching and who benefits from it? Well, everyone is different and their interpretation of mindfulness can vary from person to person.  Overall it is being in an aware and conscious state of mind. Being able to calmly acknowledge and accept our thoughts and use this as a therapeutic technique.

Anyone can benefit from mindfulness coaching as it is a very natural and safe way to find yourself.  We all have triggers that accumulated since childhood into adulthood that cause us to think or decide in a certain matter.  Finding yourself and learning what and why your triggers are there can be a very helpful way to working on your mental health.

  • Relationships: Beneficial to really find yourself; your worth and priorities, to be able to bring that strength, respect and love to the relationship.

  • Divorce: This is a very difficult process as it brings a lot of changes in your life.  Calmly acknowledging and accepting the new changes can help you heal through the process.

  • Children: Mindfulness can be very beneficial in helping kids feel more confident and find ways to control their emotions especially during the crucial age of emotional development and hormonal fluctuations.

  • Grief: Being mindful of the present moment helps us grieve through the process without losing ourselves in the grief.

  • Eating disorder:  Mindfulness can help us during the recovery process to help us feel more accountable during recovery.

  • Post partum: Having years of experience in the Ob/Gyne field and knowledge of the post partum depression scale; mindfulness can be very helpful for new moms.  Not only are you dealing with hormonal fluctuations but also with life changes.

  • Therapy: This is a great way to strengthen your therapeutic session and work together with your therapist to help your prosper.

  • Depression/Anxiety: Helping you feel your absolute best by understanding your thoughts, your feelings, your emotions.  By understanding what it is you feel, you can then control your response to these feelings.

MINDFULNESS COACHING IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THERAPY BUT CAN BE VERY BENEFICIAL FOR ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A HOLISTIC FORM TO STRENGHTEN THEIR MINDFULNESS, OR TO COMBINE COACHING WITH THERAPY.

How it Works:

  • The first consultation is a 15-20 minute meeting either via zoom or at preferred location (ex: coffee shop, park, etc.)

  • We go through a plan of sessions which include minimum of 3-6 sessions with payment made up front.

This includes calls or texts to me with any questions or concerns during the mindfulness journey. It also includes going over nutrition and supplemental use, and refer to health coach or nutritionist if needed, and also any literature and assignments.

This is made for the client to learn how to understand mindfulness and be able to apply it in any situation on their own in the future.

  • Minimum of 5 people where we can do a general group mindfulness meeting and focus on a broader mindfulness view and a better understanding of our perspective with questions at the end.

Each meeting/event is different with different age groups and focuses.

The price also varies on location and what is involved in the process but can run anywhere from $25-$50 per person.
